Car Wash

Okay, straightforward enough...I washed the car. Why is that fine art?

In the conceptualization of this project, one of the main metaphors I use is the substitution of a car for a beast. After a beast is killed and gutted, the next step in the process is to wash the carcass. In this case, the carcass was my car...so I washed it. Performing the action of washing the car was a necessary step in getting to the overall aesthetic of this work (IE ANIMUL).

The car was very Dirty as can be seen in the photo. Notice the leaf impression left in the layers of dirt. I took special care to wash it all off. I had to wash it three times in order to get it clean. About 45 minutes later the car sparkled...not like she did on the day she was bought but it was nice to see her clean for a change.
The next step...jacking up the car and draining the fluids.
