Since my last post, i have realized that 'the towing' was not really the beginning of the work for this project. Before the decision to tow the car myself (with Adam's help) I attempted to have a Car towing comany tow the car to NJ for me.
This was a disaster. I arranged a pick up date, and paid the company. When the day finally came, i ventured into the cold and snow to unbury the Lumina from the feet of snow that had entombed it.
This photo is of the car the day after I had dug it out. Apparently it had snowed overnight and placed a couple more inches on the vehicle. not too much trouble to remove but still annoying.
After the hour it took to unburry it, I went inside to wait for the truck. After hours of waiting, i called the company. They explained that there would be no truck that day. Every day for two weeks I called and waited for the truck. It never showed.
Apparently, the company I hired just posts the job on a website for truck drivers. If noone picks up the job, then your screwed.
So then i decided to just get a tow dolly and do it myself (with Adam's help).
